We've all seen those trash-to-treasure posts on Pinterest and Instagram: curb-side or thrift store furniture transformed like Cinderella by her Fairy Godmother. It's not just a fairy tale. With a bit of imagination and DIY know-how, you can upcycle worn-out or dated furniture and accessories, and create your very own belle of the ball.
Join us Wednesday, November 15th from 6-9PM in our Salem store for a hands-on workshop led by Toni of RestorDecor. Bring in your small piece of furniture, drawer, or door, and learn the artful technique of chalk painting. We will be using Paint du Coco and General Finishes products, and you will learn how to clean and prepare your piece, apply and distress chalk paint, and incorporate glazes, metallics, and clear finishes to customize your look.
We'll supply the tools you need to get started, and you'll get a pint of Paint du Coco* to take home. Light refreshments will be served. Tickets are $95, and space is limited, so contact us to register today.
(*In-stock only. Colors and quantities limited.)
UPDATE: Our chalk paint workshop has been postponed until Saturday, January 20th from 9:30am-12:30pm.
